We all waited for the new smartphone by Samsung and it's finally here. The Samsung Galaxy S5 made it's appearance in the UNPACKED 5 with Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit.
Samsung's new device, Galaxy S5 comes with the latest quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, which runs at a blistering 2.5GHz plus 2GB of RAM but no 64bit, maybe next time and Adreno 330. The phone comes with Android 4.4 KitKat and a new version of Samsung’s TouchWiz interface. 2800mAh battery up to 21 hours of talk time.
The new galaxy comes in 16GB and 32GB of storage and a micro SD card slot to add up to 64GB extra storage. Galaxy S5 is 4G LTE (supporting the speedy Category 4) and fifth generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 2X2 MiMo, plus a feature called Download Booster which uses both Wi-Fi and 4G simultaneously to download files more speedily.
Also Samsung Galaxy S5 is IP67 water and dust resistant like mentioned before and it will come in 4 different colours, including Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold.
Let's have a look at the extra bits that Samsung added to it's new smartphone. Samsung has fitted the S5 with a fingerprint scanner (homebutton) which serves three main purposes. First, it can swiftly unlock the phone, second function is instant online mobile payments via PayPal integration, and the third is to protect important documents (private mode).
It comes with a 16MP camera combined with LED flash, (2.1MP front camera) a new advanced HDR mode for pictures and videos this time and post-shot focussing. But the new feature which Samsung claims to be the fastest on any smartphone is its super-fast autofocus at 0.3 seconds. Also right next to the flash there is a heart-rate sensor, the first ever seen on a smartphone.
Samsung didn't mentioned any price yet, but they said that it will be launched on 11th of April launch. Stay tuned for more!!
