It's a new day in Chicago and it's Motorola's turn to show of their latest smart-devices, upgrading last year's line Moto X, and Moto G and also announcing a new sleek bluetooth earpiece accessory Moto Hint.
Motorola decided to keep the same names for the new devices as well as the low prices having $500 for the Moto X, $180 for the Moto G and $150 for their new device Moto Hint. Moto X is already for sale in UK for £420/16GB and £460/32GB while you have the options to change some thing on the phone that will be discussed later on. The Moto G prices start at £145. Also Moto G is on sale from today 5th of Sept. for $250 in the US.
Moto X
This year's Moto X has upgraded specs in order to keep up with the other companies devices and a larger screen. The new device measures 72.4mm x 140.8mm x 3.8-9.9mm and packs a 5.2 inches of 1080x1920 pixels resolution (423ppi) with HD AMOLED display. The back of the device has 13 mega-pixel camera with added software tweaks by Motorola and also capabilities of capturing 4K videos. The internal of the device now packs a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and 2,300mAh battery. The Moto X will released in 16 and 32GB of internal storage (no micro-SD) and will run pure Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box with wake-up commands and voice commands. Lastly, Motorola gives you the freedom to design the device the way you like through the Moto Makeer website by choosing 25 different backplate colors and finishes with real wood backplates e.g. (bamboo, teak, walnut, ebony) while there are also natural colors such us black, cognac and navy colors we well as leather.









Moto G
The "second generation" Moto G that was shown in Chicago's press event has also upgraded specs and a bigger screen. This year's Moto G measures (141.5 x 70.7 x 11mm) and has a 5 inches screen with 720x1280 resolution (294ppi from last year's 329ppi). Under the hood there is a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, a 450MHz Adreno 305 GPU, and a 2,070mAh battery. The device comes in 8GB and 16GB of internal storage and there is also a micro-SD card slot supporting additional storage of up to 32GB. The rear facing camera is 8 mega-pixel and front 2 mega-pixels for the front facing. Again this device will run on pure Android 4.4 and will be upgradable in the future.
Moto Hint
A capacitive touch bluetooth earpiece of $150 which turns on once you put it in your ear with it's IR sensor and turns off once you take it of is ready to receive calls through your phone (works with any bluetooth enabled device). The earpiece comes in a carrying case which is also a battery charger helping you getting up to 13.5 hours of usage out of the device.
