The all new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

And the latest flagship from Samsung is finally here coming in two versions. The brand new device Galaxy S6 which has been launched at MWC 2015 this time is joined by the Galaxy S6 Edge which features a curved screen in both sides (remember last year's one side curved Galaxy Note Edge). The two devices pack the same specification apart the two side curved display and the battery. 

This year samsung made the phones more attractive with fusion of "glass and metal" which is more solid and has a premium feeling when holding it while the size certainly more impressive.

Sadly the glass and metal design won't leave room for waterproofness (let's hope that it is going to be on the S6 Active - if they condinue the "Active" line up) as well as a non-removable battery and no microSD card slot. Bare in mind that the device will be available in 32, 64 and 128GB.

Samsung will continue with their Super AMOLED displays as we see for quite long time now but this time will go with QHD resolution of 2560x1440 pixels just like "Galaxy Note 4". This means the display of the device will be more clear and crisp with more ppi's (577). 

Samsung has stuck stick with the excellent Super AMOLED displays we've seen from the company for quite a while on the Galaxy S6 but this time things have become a lot more awesome: much like the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy S6 comes with a 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD resolution.

Samsung has made the camera one of the key features on this new phone, and has stuck a 16MP sensor on there. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 have identical snappers, with the South Korean brand looking to keep them as similar as possible - it's just the screen that's the differentiator. This time the sensor will have an aperture of f1.9 meaning that it is going to be excellent for low light, and an improvement of 34% over the Galaxy S5.

It still has the same Auto HDR mode as before, and will show how the images will look in HDR mode before you take it - plus smart Optical Image Stabilisation will keep the shake away. Also an upgrade of the front facing camera has been made with the same low light performance (which is a big jump from last year's model).

One thing that is certainly worrying everyone is the battery capacity. The latest device by the Korean company, Galaxy S6 this year will come with only 2550mAh, while the S6 Edge will have 2600mAh, compared to the 2800mAh of the phone from last year. This means Samsung might have configured the chipset, screen and operating system in such a way to be more efficient and could therefore get away with a smaller battery, or they realised that they needed to make an amazingly designed phone in order not to lose more ground in the high end smartphone industry.

At least the phone has the ability to charge wirelessly, which means if you see a charging panel without wires, you can place your S6 down on it without worry. It can also charge up enough in just 10 minutes which will lasts for up to 2 hours of video playback thanks to the new faster charging system. "We are sure everyone needs super charging phones".

Now lets head under the hood of the device where a 64-bit version of the Android Lollipop (of course with Samsung's TouchWiz UI) will power on the Galaxy S6 with their own chipset "Exynos" rather than the latest "Qualcomm Snapdragon 810" like other companies do use for their smart-devices.

The decision to use 3GB inside is therefore a little bit maddening, as 4GB would have allowed the system to fully take control of the 64-bit architecture. But given taht there aren't that many apps or services out there which can make use of the extra power yet.

The Galaxy S6 does use new type of flash memory featuring in the handset called UFS v.2.0 (Universal Flash Storage) to enhance data speeds and power consumption, as well as improve speed of use - which is the reason the microSD card slot has been removed, which might not be in need this time as we said earlier Samsung will offer the Galaxy S6 in 32, 64 and 128GB variants.

Lastly you will all be wondering how much will the two devices costs but unfortunelty no mention from Samsung yet about prices but according to AndroidPit the devices will be close to the prices shown below.
